Bringing Trans Healthcare into the Future
Transgender Health Education Network (THEN) is a non-profit organization that serves the greater North Central Florida region, bringing together a network of healthcare providers that share the goal of offering informed and compassionate care to Transgender and Gender Diverse individuals.
Quality affirming healthcare is challenging to access for Transgender and Gender Diverse individuals, especially in rural areas like North Central Florida.
THEN seeks to address inequities in access to care by identifying affirming and informed healthcare providers and linking those providers to a network of like-minded colleagues. We also aim to provide up-to-date continuing education in transgender healthcare.

The ability to facilitate referrals to other trans-affirming providers

Opportunities for healthcare providers to network and further their knowledge
Resources for Transgender and Gender Diverse individuals

Access to compassionate medical and mental healthcare
Access to providers with accurate and up-to-date information
Multiple options for medical and mental healthcare providers
Resources such as support groups, hotlines, therapy groups, and opportunities to form a community
The ability to access care that minimizes gatekeeping and eliminates transphobic experiences
Our Service Provider Database
Our provider database lists contact information for mental health and medical providers who share the goal of providing informed and gender-affirming care. Providers whe are registered in our database have agreed to uphold the most current version of WPATH Standards for Transgender and Gender Diverse people. Additionally, these providers have pledged to continue their education in order to provide the most up-to-date care.
